Zayra Estrada: From Production to Customer Service Department, a Team that Grows
Zayra Estrada, our colleague from the production team, leaves our Iberchem factory and takes a leap to our customer service department. Do you want to know more about Zayra’s story? Today we sat down with her to chat about her career…
What is your professional background and what led you to study this field?
I studied a degree in the History of Art at Murcia University because I really like art and also to study it, although I do not like the professional opportunities it offers. A few years later, I decided to change my career path and enrol in a higher education degree in International Trade which has equipped me with the necessary training to accept this new opportunity.
How did you get to know Iberchem and what prompted you to send your CV?
I learnt about Iberchem whilst I was searching for summer jobs during my Higher Degree studies. Once I started working at Iberchem, I saw that it is an honest company which takes good care of its employees, and that it also has great, international projection. I thought that it would be a very good opportunity for me to train here; to put everything I had learnt during my degree into practice, and to continue growing professionally.
How would you describe your experience with the company?
Incredibly positive. First of all, in the production department I learnt a lot, both about the sector and on a personal level as my superiors gave me the opportunity to learn all the different phases of the production process.
Secondly, during my internship with the company, I discovered how much I like the job and felt motivated to continue growing. Lastly, now that I am part of the Iberchem team as a member of the commercial department, I am enjoying being able to put everything I have learnt into practice with thanks to a team that shares their further knowledge and supports me enormously.
What motivated you to change department?
My main motivation was the completion of my studies in International Trade, which has been a fulfilling learning experience for me. My studies grant me the necessary skills to face any challenges in this new department.
What is your favourite fragrance? Why?
Without a doubt, my favourite perfume is Armani Code for Women by Giogio Armani. I love this floral perfume and its orange blossom notes; also, it brings back good memories since it was the first perfume I bought when I was 18 years old. It is now one of my essentials.
Thanks to her experience in production and training in International Trade, Zayra today is a great asset to Iberchem’s customer service department. The company is proud to motivate its employees and encourage internal promotion since the knowledge generated in each department is valuable and exclusive to the company.
We wish Zayra every success in the customer service department, and we thank her for embarking on this new journey together with Iberchem.
