Iberchem Supports Education and Sustainable Fragrance Innovation in Qinghai, China
Again, this year, Iberchem has renewed Its commitment to engage with local communities and support access education by participating in the Charity Education Project at Qinghai Sanjiangyuan Ethnic Middle School.
Organized by the China Fragrance, Perfume and Cosmetics Industry Association, the initiative brought together companies from the fragrance, perfume and cosmetics industry in China to support students living in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau region.
Supporting Education in the Sanjiangyuan Region
Located in the heart of Qinghai Province, the Sanjiangyuan region is the birthplace of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers. Known as the “Water Tower of China”, the area plays an important role in ecological protection, biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
While the region is recognised for its environmental value, supporting local education is also essential to Qinghai’s long-term future. This year’s education project in Qinghai gathered more than 20 companies to provide targeted support for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who have demonstrated strong academic performance.
As part of the initiative, Iberchem provided financial support, school supplies and specialised personal care materials adapted to high-altitude plateau conditions, and shared practical guidance on personal care, skin care and wellbeing in the unique highland environment.
Through the expertise of the fragrance and cosmetics sector, the guidance sessions help students better understand skin care needs in plateau climates, where altitude, dryness and strong sunlight can affect the skin.
Advancing Sustainable Raw Material Innovation
Qinghai’s plateau ecosystem and rich biological resources make it an important region for the development of natural cosmetic and sustainable fragrance ingredients. The province is also recognised as a key area for natural aromatic resources in China.
Following the charity education project, Iberchem was also in attendance at the 2nd Qinghai Cosmetic Ingredients Innovation and Development Conference, held on 24 July 2026.
At the conference, Iberchem expressed its intention to align with Qinghai’s sustainable industry development priorities. The company aims to support a development path that protects the ecological environment of the plateau while responsibly exploring its natural resources.
