Iberchem Performs Its Annual Occupational Health and Safety Drill at Head Office
For another consecutive year, Iberchem has carried out its Interior Emergency Plan activation drill at its central plant facilities in Spain. The drill was supervised by official technicians, who audited the entire process to evaluate our operability and efficiency.
Ensuring the health and safety of its workers is one of Iberchem’s main priorities as part of its sustainability programme, thus complying with objective number three (Welfare and Health of Employees) of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
“At Iberchem, we consider that it is essential to continuously train our workers so that, in case of emergency, quick action can be taken,” said José Manuel Frutos, Safety, Health and Environment Manager at Iberchem. “The company has once again been able to test the proper functioning of its firefighting procedures and to check the response times by the intervention teams. All of these safety measures are designed to ensure the safety of our workers and to protect the environment and are mandatory since the creation of the 1982 Seveso Directive.”
