The city of Murcia, where Iberchem’s head office is located, and the one of Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, have a lot in common, especially when it comes to the cultivation of raw materials used in the fragrance industry: aromatic plants, lavender or citruses, to name a few. It comes as no surprise that in 1990, the two cities became sister cities.
Every year, in order to make the most of this privileged situation, Iberchem take some of its perfumers on a field trip to discover a variety of raw materials in their natural environment. This year, our Head perfumer Luz Vaquero took her team to a lavender field in Hellín. As you will see, the resemblance with the lavender fields of southern France makes them hard to tell apart.
We would like to give a special thanks to Juan José De Lope and all the team of Alcarria Flora for having us and for making this experience possible.
