Iberchem relies on its own in-house fragrance technologies department comprised of scientists specialising in the research and analysis of odours and fragrances, and strives to improve their efficiency and enhance user performance.
This year, innovation efforts have focused on three core pillars: enhancing well-being through fragrance, embedding sustainability in all its operations, and developing cutting-edge biodegradable fragrance technologies that set new industry standards.
“One of our latest launches is Wavemotion, which we’ve been working on for the past few years and has generated a great deal of interest. Our clients understand the power of having a quantifiable measurement and scientific data on how a consumer will behave and feel when smelling our fragrances. That is one of Wavemotion’s main strengths” says Vasco Fontes, Neuroscience Manager at Iberchem.

Best Social Responsibility Action in the Industry
Iberchem and NELIXIA’s Restore Together project, initiated in January 2023, is a perfect example of how the perfumery industry can have a positive impact on society. It empowers Guatemalan cardamom farmers through sustainability, education, and fair partnerships. This initiative seeks to combat and eventually eliminate poverty in local communities through human empowerment and investment, while setting a new social responsibility benchmark for the fragrance industry.
For over three years, Iberchem and NELIXIA have been collaborating to carry out a project dedicated to improving the lives of the local producing communities, with the goal of eventually uplifting all community members out of poverty and providing them with skills necessary to thrive long-term.
