Iberchem today announced it has received the MUI halal fragrance certification for its facility in Indonesia and therefore can now offer MUI halal certified fragrances to its customers. Thanks to a thorough implementation of the requirements within its operations, the facility obtained the A status, the highest grade achievable, certifying the perfect adherence to the organizational prerequisites necessary in the manufacturing of halal fragrances. The accreditation comes after an intensive audit performed by the Indonesian Ulema Council (Majelis Ulama Indonesia – MUI)

“This announcement is in line with Iberchem’s ongoing commitment to offering fragrances responding to local requirements,” said Didier Parizot, General Manager of Iberchem Indonesia. “The global demand for halal-certified fragrances is constantly growing. Iberchem was already offering halal fragrances to its customers but now we are glad to respond to this demand with grade “A” MUI certified halal fragrances”.

The Halal Certification is a recognition process proving that materials, production process (from the purchasing of raw materials to the distribution of the fragrances) and the Halal Assurance System comply with the standard of LPPOM – MUI.

On its end, the Halal Assurance System consists of an internal structure aimed to maintain the sustainability of the halal production process in order to assure its continuous compliance.
